Volare selected to the Nordic Cleantech Open TOP 25

The 25 selected companies bring promising and ready-to-scale innovations and market proposition, and they were selected out of 137 applicants by a jury of about 50 international members from venture capital firms, multinational industries, the utility sector, development agencies and the public investment scene. These experts were the ones to analyse applications based on their level of innovation, market potential and the ability of the team to execute.

The selected 25 companies that will participate in the next phases offer carbon capture technology, optimization and digitalization of transport, logistics and waste management, upcycled and sustainable aluminium and rare earth metals. They also bring several breakthrough innovations to revolutionize the animal-based food industry, the oil-chemical industry with seaweed and algae and improved light harvesting technology and waste to energy solution.

Next, the Top 25 companies will meet the jury and extended Cleantech Scandinavia’s network at Smygehus Havsbad, Southern Sweden, on the 20 th and 21 st of September, where they will get to pitch and present their case and participate in one-to-one meetings, among other more recreational and mingling activities. On the same occasion, the jury will assess the startups again, and the selected Top 10 will then move on to the finals together with Cleantech Scandinavia’s main event: Cleantech Capital Day and the Nordic Cleantech Open Finals, on the 25th and 26th of October, in Oslo.
