Volare pitched on Slush Food & Biotech Demo Showcase
Slush is Europe's leading technology, startup and investor event held annually in Helsinki, Finland. In 2021, Volare was selected among seven promising startups to pitch their solutions on stage for a live audience on the Food & Biotech Demo Showcase.
The focus of the event has sifted more and more towards deeptech solutions as well as startups that provice sustainable solutions.
The event consists of a multitude of formats supporting startups with finding the resources and audiences they need. Among the stage program was Demo Showcase, which is an on-stage concept for selected startups to let their product shine live on stage. At Demo Showcase, pitching was cut to a minimum and the focus is solely on the product demo, emphasizing the journey behind its development. Thanks to industry-based batches, the audience was filled with relevant investors, partners, and customers.
Companies participating got an eight-minute slot to tell the tale of their product: they’ll demo the design, features, functionalities, and the problem it was built to solve.
Volare Solutions COO Jarna Hyvönen pitched Volare's circular protein and lipid ingredients that can be used to replace for instance fish meal in pet food and fish feeds.
"I was honored and excited to tell our story, the massive environmental problems we were founded to solve and our high-quality products that will have a massive impact in the food chain. Pithcing in front of a large live audience felt heart-warming, since it has not been possible many times during the past two years." says Jarna.
The other companies in the Food & Biotech Demo Showcase this year were biotx.ai, Origin by Ocean, Perfeggt, Arkeon Biotechnologies, SAVEGGY and Innoscentia.
