The construction of the facility will begin during 2023 and when it’s operational, it will employ about 20 people. Volare chose Järvenpää as the facility’s site because there are a number of significant food and beverage companies in the area, which means short and ecological logistics of the raw materials. In addition, the city of Järvenpää has a positive outlook on businesses working in the food industry and circular economy.
“We produce high quality protein and oil from the side streams of the food industry, which has a significant impact on the environment. With the new facility, we can answer to the growing demand of low-emission protein in Finland and Europe,” our CEO Tuure Parviainen comments.
