Volare on Talouselämä: Insect-based protein manufacturer Volare is building a production facility in Järvenpää – “Food industry is one of the city’s four top industries”

Our announcement of building a commercial facility in Järvenpää, Finland was covered by Talouselämä, a Finnish publication that focuses on economic news.

The construction of the facility will begin during 2023 and when it’s operational, it will employ about 20 people. Volare chose Järvenpää as the facility’s site because there are a number of significant food and beverage companies in the area, which means short and ecological logistics of the raw materials. In addition, the city of Järvenpää has a positive outlook on businesses working in the food industry and circular economy.

“We produce high quality protein and oil from the side streams of the food industry, which has a significant impact on the environment. With the new facility, we can answer to the growing demand of low-emission protein in Finland and Europe,” our CEO Tuure Parviainen comments.
