Pet food has been one of the first commercial applications for our insect-based ingredients. Since 2022, our protein has been used in products ranging from insect-based dog treats developed with Alvar Pet to Dagsmark's insect-based cat food.
Our protein meal offers over 90% digestibility, making it a valuable ingredient for pet food producers. Using black soldier fly larvae, we transform locally available food industry side streams into high-quality protein and oil, without fossil fuels or process wastewater.
With Volare 01, we're now ready to bring this proven ingredient to a much larger market.
