We are hiring! Looking for a Business Assistant to join our team

Volare is looking for a Business Assistant to join our innovative and driven team with a mission to change the food industry.

Volare is a biotechnology company creating radically sustainable protein and lipids from food industry side streams. By combining the natural powers of insects and cutting-edge technology Volare is radically reducing the environmental burden of the food chain.

We are a driven, professional, and diverse team and we value learning, caring for each other and the planet, as well as our purpose to change the food chain for the better. We already have a demonstration plant running at full capacity and deliver products to customer for testing and limited product launches. We will start building a first-of-its-kind industrial scale insect rearing and processing facility to the Nordics in 2023.

As our business and team are growing, there is a growing number of important processes and tasks that need to be systematized and operated efficiently. We are now looking for a business assistant to develop and run several administrative processes and tasks.

As the Business Assistant you ensure that our back-office operations and administrative processes are adequate and run smoothly. The processes vary from HR, IT and finance to sales related topics. Although the role covers many aspects of the business, we want to ensure that you have the support and clarity needed to succeed.

You will be responsible for - Running and administrative operations related to finance, IT, HR and sales - Developing smart and adequate processes where needed and finding the right tools and partners where needed - Supporting production and sales in administrative topics - Supporting in regulatory and other administrative topics case-by-case

Ability and curiosity to take on new IT tools to improve our operations - Very good written and verbal communications skills in Finnish and English - Great hands-on problem-solving skills - Meticulous and active personality with a get-things-done attitude - We appreciate previous experience in relevant roles
